Lions, Tigers, and Bears - Oh My!

We had a fun day at the National Museum of Natural History yesterday with some friends. You got to love a town that has tons of free museums to take your children to. I need to do a better job of taking advantage of all of the wonderful and free places here in the DC area. Ellie had a really good time. And luckily, the museum wasn't really that crowded, so I was able to let her get out of the stroller and roam around on foot. She seemed to like the Mammal exhibit best where she made the sounds of the various animals she encountered. "Ellie, what does a lion say?" "Roar!", etc. She can do the following animal sounds - lions, tigers, pigs, ducks, monkeys, dogs, and Darth Vadar (she exhales very loudly - it's extremely funny and cute.)* She can also make the sounds of a car - zoom, zoom. She's such a cutie! Here she is feeling a fossil - the pic's a little blurry, but you get the idea.

* Unfortunately, there was no Darth Vadar exhibit at the museum - such a pity!
