Spring Break Vacation

So we headed down to Williamsburg, VA for spring break. It was decided pretty last minute. But we are so glad we did it. We packed up our little car to the gills. It's a good thing the hotel we stayed at had a pack n play for Leah because we would have never fit it into the packed trunk. That's what we get for keeping my little Ford escort instead of upgrading to a bigger car. But look, my car hit a fun new mileage number on the way down.
Here's Ellie in the car heading south. Too bad we don't have one of Annie on the other side of Leah.
We found a great resort to stay at that cost just as much as a hotel. Our condo had two bedrooms, a hot tub (Matt's favorite part) and a full kitchen. It was great because the girls got their own room with twin beds, we were able to buy groceries there and skip eating out every meal, and they had a pool at the resort.

Ellie and Annie LOVED the pool. I'm pretty sure it made the vacation for them. We had to carve in pool time every day to placate them. Annie slept in a big bed, even though she is still in her crib at home. She did pretty well, though she did fall out one time. There were geese running all around the resort. They were pretty fun to watch, but it was not fun when they started squawking at 6 in the morning.
Still, I'm thrilled that we found this place. We will definitely stay there again. It was a great home base for the vacation.
Here's Matt and the girls in front of our condo.

The Powhatan resort. We found it on hotels.com, but I suspect that if we had called them directly we would have gotten an even better deal. Good luck and have a great time!
