A Great Pumpkin

I have never been a particularly crafty person. With the exception of knitting and wreathmaking (which I picked up while living in the frozen tundra of Cambridge, Massachusetts) I really don't do very many crafty or creative things. Until I married Matt, this was true about pumpkin carving as well. I figured it was a waste of time and money unless you have kids that enjoy that kind of thing.

Our first Halloween as a married couple, I quickly found out that my opinion towards pumpkin carving was unacceptable. Matt is an expert carver and anticipates this tradition every year.

Three years along and I have warmed up to pumpkin carving and this year, I have to say, I've outdone myself. We were invited to a pumpkin carving party. To his great dismay, Matt had to work. So he sent me off with a small sketch and a "good luck, honey." And this is the result. No bad, if I do say so myself.
