It was bound to happen someday, but I wish I could have delayed it more. Ellie is now saying "No." She's been really good at nodding her head no, but she hasn't yet verbalized the word "no." So it was a sad day yesterday (0r maybe it was Wednesday) when she actually said "no." And it wasn't just an isolated time. It is now a permanent and well used part of her vocabulary. "Ellie, do you want to go upstairs?" "No." "Ellie, let's read this book." "No." "Ellie, can you give me a kiss?" "No."
Such a sad day.
