A Post for Annie

Sometimes I feel like Annie gets short shrift right now because she's still an infant and doesn't do a whole lot. Most of the time, she's just along for the ride. So here's a post just for her. All about her two month well appointment this past Tuesday.

The report is that she's perfect and really, really long! She measured 25 inches which is off the charts for baby girls her age - 100 percentile. She's 13 lb 14.5 oz, putting her in the 97th percentile for weight. And her head measures at 15.75 inches - 80th percentile. Can you believe it? Ellie was always the same when it comes to weight and head circumference, but she was only 75th percentile for height.* Look out, folks, it looks like we're going to have a basketball player!

Anyway, she's perfectly healthy and again the doctor told me what he told Ellie almost two years ago, which is that she's "an older baby" - meaning that while she's actually two months old, she looks like she's six months old. So funny.

We still haven't figured out what color her eyes are going to be. Ellie's were so deep brown at the beginning we knew right away with her. But Annie looks like she might go blue. She's definitely not leaning towards brown as far as we can tell.
We love her and now that she is smiling more and more she is adding incredible joy into our lives. I love the fact that every time I go to get the girls out of the car I find Ellie holding Annie's hand. It is quite possibly the cutest thing you'll ever see.

Here's my cutie enjoying some tummy time which is pretty uncharacteristic of her.

*Silly for me to use the word "only" when talking about 75th percentile. Both Ellie and Annie are going to soar over my 5ft 5 frame by the time they are 12!
