Wedding Day

Last Saturday we spent the majority of the day participating in our good friend, Chavez's, wedding. Chavez, whose first name is really Ryan, though we don't know anyone who actually calls him that, except his new wife, is one of our very good friends. He was the only best man from our wedding that isn't Matt's brother. He has been the most elligible bachelor we've known and we're thrilled that he's officially off the market. We think the world of him and were so glad to attend his wedding and dinner/reception. Below are some fun pictures of Chavez, his lovely bride, Elizabeth, and us.

Big thanks to many babysitters that made it possible for us to attend the wedding and reception without the kids in tow. It was really special to sit in the celestial room of the temple with Matt. The bride and groom did the bouquet toss and garter toss a little differently. They wanted everyone to participate so they invited anyone - single or married - to catch the bouquet and garter. And the woman who caught the bouquet got a gift certificate to a day spa and the man that caught the garter got a gift certificate to Best Buy. And guess what? Matt caught the garter!!! Which is fitting as Chavez caught the garter at our wedding almost 5 years ago. Fun times!

Happy Wedding, Chavez. We love you!

I feel the need to congratulate Chavez publicly via your blog. But, I do want to remind him that I got to the hospital before he did when Ellie was born. ;-)

I bet that season of Cougar football that he shared with you guys now trumps that, though, eh? Hmmm....

Congrats, Chavez!!!!

Jeff says he feels like he somehow knows the guy in the wedding pictures. Is that possible?

Chavez went to BYU the same time that Jeff was there, so it's possible they met there. He was an International Relations major, I think.
