The Long Goodbye

Ellie likes to say goodbye to people long after she's left them. When we drop Matt off at the metro, she can be heard saying "bye, bye, Daddy" for at least another half hour. My sister and her husband (Emily and Jason) stayed with us for a couple of weeks for their vacation. Yesterday they headed back to Utah, where they are from. All day yesterday, Ellie would say occasionally, "bye, bye Emmy, bye, bye Na-non." It was very cute. She really took them and I believe she genuinely misses them. Oh well, we will have to visit them sometime soon.
