We have done quite a few things to celebrate Easter so far. Our first was going to a very fun Easter party at the Campbell's house. Sabrina always throws the best parties and this one was no exception.
There was cookie decorating, ice cream sundaes, and an Easter egg hunt too. Both girls had a wonderful time. I was surprised at how quickly Annie took to the egg hunt. She went right to work and saw a lot of eggs that the other older kids overlooked. Ellie really liked counting out her eggs and making sure she got the requisite amount.

On another day, we were invited to the house of Ellie's very good friend, Emily. The girls made these very yummy Easter nests. They were chow mien noodles covered in melted chocolate and peanut butter, formed into nests. The girls had a great time adding eggs (jelly beans) to the nests. Last summer Emily moved to the street next to ours and it has been wonderful to have such a good friend of Ellie's so close.

Finally, today we made Easter basket cupcakes (a favorite family tradition of mine). Both Ellie and Annie loved putting the jelly beans on the cupcakes. Ellie got really adept at putting the pipe cleaners in too. They both really, really liked licking the beaters, spoons and spatulas when we're all done, and snitching extra jelly beans.
