Potomac Cruise

Last Saturday we had the wonderful opportunity to attend the wedding reception of our friend, Justin and his new bride, Diana. We knew Justin back when we attended the singles ward and were happy to find him not only living in our ward when we moved back from Cambridge, but in our neighborhood as well. Justin is a fabulous guy and Diana seems like a perfect match for him. We're excited for them as they start this journey together.

Here's the happy couple. The reception and ring ceremony were on a cruise boat on the Potomac River. It was absolutely beautiful. Matt called it the best wedding reception ever. It was pretty great. The best part was the fact that we knew so many people attending. Because Justin is in our ward now, there were quite a few members of our ward there, and also many, many dear friends from our time in the singles ward. It was great to see so many friends and reconnect. Here's the boat. Check out the view of the city at sunset, you can see the Washington Monument and Capitol Building. Here's me and the view.
Here's Matt and the view.
The reception also coincided with the end of the Cherry Blossom festival which is celebrated by fireworks. So we got a fantastic fireworks show halfway through the cruise. How fun is that? Pictures never seem to capture fireworks very well, but here's one of the pictures we took.
The other happy couple, us!

Congratulations, Justin and Diana!

Talk about a bad hair day. All three of these pictures of me really make me look balder than I feel. Yeesh. Maybe it's a good thing I can't normally see my own head.
