Mommy Likes Football Too

One of the more adorable party tricks that I've taught Ellie is to make the touchdown sign when I chant "Touchdown!" Every time I say it, her little arms shoot straight into the air, high above her head. It's one of the cutest things ever. Inevitably, whenever I get her to perform this trick in public the automatic response goes something like this "Wow! You're dad must be a football fan." or "We know what Daddy likes to watch." And I just want to say - "Um, it was Mommy that taught her how to do it and, while Daddy does like football, Mommy does too!" It's the same stereotyping that makes me have to put Ellie in pink if I want her to be recognized as a girl - and even that doesn't always work!
