So last night after we put Ellie to sleep and read our scriptures, Matt and I decided to spend 20 minutes cleaning the house. 20 minutes only - even though we could honestly spend days cleaning up. Still, it was amazing what difference 20 minutes of cleaning makes. Everything was picked up off the floor, the living room and our bedroom were dusted, the kitchen counters were cleaned, even the shower got a brief cleansing.
After we were done, we sat down to watch some West Wing episodes and briefly admired the results of our hard work. We both vocalized that we should to this more often - it would make the house a cleaner and nicer place to be in. And who knows, maybe we will.

That is a great idea. Normally, my cleaning does not occur until the weekend, and it can take me ALL day to get everything done. Perhaps if I just took a little time each day to keep after the house, there wouldn't be so much to keep after!
Cheers to you two!
Ahhh, if only it took 20 minutes to allow me to get to some of that stuff like the bathrooms! But isn't it great to have a helping hubby! Ryan always pitches in and it's one of the biggest reasons I love him!
