Other Christmas Adventures

Last Saturday was a full day and I would be remiss if I didn't quickly mention the fun things we did. We went on a Santa train - a real VRE commuter train with Santa. Ellie didn't much care for Santa, in fact when he came by to talk to each child individually she clung to Matt like crazy and hid her face into his chest. Oh well. But she LOVED the train - so all was well. Here she is with Matt waiting for the train.

We also had our church Christmas party, which was really fun even if the dessert included no chocolate - I don't know who made that decision, but it wasn't me. The children put on a nativity program and Ellie was a shepherd. She was all set to go in her shepherd outfit. But no less than 30 seconds of her being on stage the costume fell off and she was absolutely not where she was supposed to be. Instead she saw Matt in the audience and walked right up the edge of the stage (giving me a heart attack) and blowing Matt a big kiss. She stood there through the whole program staring at her dad. It was pretty funny.
